My Profile

I do computer and network consulting for small business and individuals. Having over 27 years of mainframe-to-PC experience, my abilities and talents have been utilized in a number of fields: aerospace, property management, petroleum distribution, office equipment, and pyrotechnics manufacturing, to name a few. In my role as a Director, Supervisor, System Administrator, Operator, Technician, Programmer, Accountant, or Aide, I always performed multiple tasks as a part of my job. In my effort to be a good trouble-shooter, I once recovered over 1400 files ( before they became irretrievable) which were deleted by a virus 24 hours earlier, and have been known to help avert problems before they occur. I am familiar with DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME, NT, XP, Vista, 7 , 8, 8.1, and 10, in addition to Novell networking. I have worked with PCs since their inception. My first computer was a Radio Shack Color Computer, which I used until I migrated to PCs; but have also worked in many large-scale computing environments over the years. My experience has also allowed me to work on Apple machines, but not often. As for knowledge of applications, I am familiar with several versions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Quicken and QuickBooks Pro, Norton Utilities, WordPerfect, Norton's Ghost, plus many various databases, graphics, utility and shareware programs over the last 20 years. Also familiar with various accounting/business, bank transfer, and other proprietary programs. If I don't know the answer to your particular problem, I will try to help you figure it out in the best way possible.
